The House family will be part of a group of over 30 artists exhibiting with Lord Nelson's Gallery during the HMTA show. David Wright and others.
Lord Nelson's Gallery is the largest participant in the History Meets the Arts event in historic downtown Gettysburg. Lord Nelson's Gallery hosts the artists in two locations: The physical gallery at 27 ˝ Chambersburg Street in downtown and the Gettysburg Community Fire Hall located at 35 N. Stratton St. The hours are Friday April 17, 4:00 to 9:00 pm; Saturday, April 18 10:00 am to 6:00 pm; and Sunday 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Free to the public, the artists, artisans and authors appearing in person will be showing their latest works – original paintings, bronze sculpture, artist signed prints, contemporary 18th century period accoutrements, red ware pottery, hand carved wooden art and more. The genres of art will include Celtic, French & Indian War, Revolutionary War, nostalgic and wildlife subject matters. The grounds of the fire hall will also be turned into an 18th century encampment providing attendees a glimpse into frontier and military life complete with period settlers.
